For Lilly girls, the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale is one of the craziest, most exciting times of the year. If you’re new to the world of Lilly Pulitzer, the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale is Lilly’s twice yearly sale where you can purchase Lilly Pulitzer at deep, deep discounts. The Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale typically happens in August and then again in December. I’ve talked all about how to buy Lilly Pulitzer on a budget over on my YouTube channel so today I’m focusing on giving you guys my best advice on how to shop the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale.

I know what you’re thinking: Darrian, why does anyone need tips for shopping a freaking sale? Well, the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale isn’t just any sale. There have been site crashes, purchases not going through and many more snags in recent After Party Sales so you’re going to want to read the rest of this post, especially if it’s your first time shopping the After Party Sale in 2017.

Setup Your Account/Update Information

The very first thing you need to do is to either create a Lilly Pulitzer account on the website or log in to your account and update your information. Logging into the website ahead of time is super important because items will start selling out almost immediately and the last thing you want to have happened is to not have the right credit card or shipping address already entered into your account. Trust me when I say your future self with thank you when you’re shopping the After Party Sale and you don’t have to enter your credit card information.

Know Your Sizes

If you’ve never purchased anything Lilly Pulitzer before, it’s important to know your size and how certain styles fit. If you live close to a Lilly Pulitzer store or a boutique that sells Lilly Pulitzer items, it may be a good idea to stop by and try on items in preparation for the After Party Sale. After Party Sale items are not returnable so if you order something and it doesn’t fit, you’ll have to resell it to get your money back. Be Patient

The Lilly Pulitzer After Party sale can get extremely stressful. The last time, I didn’t end up buying anything because of how frustrated I was with the site crashing and my purchase not going through. The bottom line is you’re not going to have any control over how smooth the sale goes. What you can control is your response. At the end of the day, they’re just clothes so keep that in mind on After Party Sale day.
