AM Coffee Talk #28 - We Got a Kitten!

Another Saturday already? Who else is really excited for the weekend? I mean, obviously all of us. Justin has been away a lot this week so I'm most excited to have my husband to myself for awhile and to get some more stuff for the house. This week was actually a pretty exciting one, so many different things happened and I'm truly amazed by this life we're living right now. So come on in and take a step into my week!

Also, don't forget that if you're a blogger we do a link up here every Saturday now! Include a link from your favorite post for the week at the bottom so we can all check it out! I'd also love for you to share this with any of your other blogger friends out there so they can get in on the SMC fun!

We're actually going to pick up where we left off last Saturday because I want to tell you about my experience working with Forever 21 as an influencer! I had so much fun attending the Military Appreciation Event here at the Peachtree Mall. I was so thankful for the opportunity to work with a brand that has been in my life for as long as I can remember and hopefully this will lead to more partnerships with them in the future! Apparenlty this whole event thing is kind of new to Forever 21 so keep an eye on your local store to see if they have any fun events planned!

About a week ago, I ordered this amazing print from Parabo Press! I love the look of the wood with the large print and the texture of the paper. I wanted a large picture to fill the space on the mantle but didn't want to spend the money on a large one if the quality wasn't good. Let's just say I was absolutely blown away by the quality of this company. I can't wait to order more goodies from them once we have our full wedding gallery! The best part is that they're super affordable, especially when you use my code! You can get $10 off of your order with the code: IEMZWB at checkout! Bonus tip: give them your email and you can also get a code for 10% off. I'm not sure if you can use the two codes together but if you're planning on making mulitple orders like me, it's a good thing to get! You'll also get your own code when you make a purchase that you can share with your friends!

Naturally since the picture I did order was kind of small, I  decided to play with the decor on the mantle a bit during the week. My hope is to continue to add little things to it here and there while we're at Fort Benning and most of this stuff, with the exception of the plant, the clock, and the print from Parabo Press, was stuff we already had which I think is also pretty cool. It just goes to show you that you don't have to spend a lot of money to have good decor! When each room in our house gets completed, I plan on showing you guys a full tour so I'll go over where everything is from and all the little details in those posts!

Speaking of decorating, I've also been working on my little office area. I didn't do much other than hanging a few things on the entryway wall. This is the first thing that you see when you walk into our house and I like that it doesn't look like a total office space. It's also the reason I put this adorable Burrow sign here. I'm hoping to add a few pictures of Justin and I along with a few other random knick-knacks to this area to fill the space. I've also been able to repurpose a lot of our wedding decor in the house so that's a total win in my book!

Okay, okay, the moment you've all been waiting for. The cat is officially out of the bag! We adopted a kitten! Scout is the sweetest, most spunky little kitten I have ever met and I knew the second I saw her little face in Petsmart that she was coming home with us. Justin is pretty much like a 5-year-old with her and watching all of his boyhood dreams come true (he also got to be in a tank this week) makes my heart so full. If you're a cat mom, definitely leave any product suggestions, tips, etc. in the comments!
