AM Coffee Talk #20 - Journaling, Celebrating My Birthday, and More!
Well hello there! I hope you all had an amazing week. Mine was absolutely magical and if you don't know why, then... well, where have you been? This past week I was so blessed to be able to take a day off of work and head into NYC to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I was absolutely blown away by the production. Anyways, I think I've raved enough about that now but it was definitely a nice little early birthday treat.
Speaking of birthdays, literally, where has April gone? I'm sitting here writing this and my birthday is now less than a week away. What? I'm actually not ready for it to be May. Can time please slow down a bit? Thanks.
Remember last week how I mentioned sharing your own SMC posts by using a hashtag or dropping a link in the comment section below? I'm so excited to make this a thing so make sure to use the hashtag #AMCoffeeCollective on Instagram so I can check out your wonderful editions of SMC! I'm literally so excited about this.
Also, also! If you have any design ideas for the Teespring shop, please let me know! My goal is to have at least one other design out by the end of the month. Remember that 100% of the proceeds from the Teespring shop will go directly to supporting the new rebrand and blog that will be coming your way in July. EEK!
ONE | Harry Potter and the Cursed Child
Obviously, this tops the list for the week... and maybe even the month. I've already talked about it a lot on Instagram and in this blog post about seeing Cursed Child so I won't go too much into details here but basically if you're a Harry Potter fan and have a chance to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child while it's in NYC (or even the London production) don't even think twice about it!
TWO | The art of journaling
I mentioned last week that I had started my second bullet journal and was focusing a lot more on journaling rather than planning. Most nights during the week I set aside time to make a steaming hot cup of tea and sit down to write in my journal. I literally am just writing anything that comes to mind, any thoughts that troubled me throughout the day, good things that happened, stuff like that. It has been extremely therapeutic and I love the little self-care routine it has turned into.
THREE | Maxwell House International Hazelnut Cafe Beverage Mix
Speaking of hot beverages, I love these little beverage mixes from Maxwell House. I remember my mom always had a container of the French Vanilla around when I was growing up. It's seriously hot chocolate for coffee people. I recently picked up the Hazelnut flavor and I have been absolutely loving it this past week! They are sweet, creamy, and super easy to make!
FOUR | Celebrating My Birthday Early
If you didn't know, my birthday is April 27th. Because I'll be out of town, Justin and I are actually celebrating my birthday a week early. As I'm typing this, he's planning out something for us to do and I have no idea what it is or what it involves! Definitely make sure you're following my Instagram because I'll be hopping on stories throughout the day as well as posting pictures because, duh. I have a love-hate relationship with my birthday and I can say that this year, I'm really not that excited for it. We'll see how I feel on the actual day of.
FIVE | My First Guest Post!
One of the goals I set for myself this year was to collaborate with another blogger or write a guest post for another blogger every month. I've been kind of slacking on it but last month I was able to collaborate with my friend and fellow Harry Potter lover, Tiffany. This month I am so excited that I actually did my very first guest post on another blog! It was such an honor to be able to write for my friend, Kate's blog, Kate the Almost Great. If you haven't checked out what I wrote, definitely do that and check out the rest of her content while you're there. She writes amazing blog posts on writing and self-publishing, living with chronic illness, and much more!
