Peach Themed Bathroom Makeover | Under $100

One of the very first purchases I made during quarantine in 2020 was this peach themed shower curtain. We had just gone into lockdown, spring still felt like a million years away here in Alaska, and I was looking for something to brighten up the mood a little bit. I figured we couldn’t go wrong with a peach themed bathroom for our military housing bathroom that doubles as both as kids bathroom and a guest bathroom (though it’s been a very long time since we’ve had guests, obviously).

I meant to get the bathroom together a long time ago but between a deployment and the pandemic it just really took a back seat to other projects we needed to get done around the house. A few weekends ago, I finally decided that it was time to tackle this bathroom, now that we have another little one on the way (and also because who wants to deal with baby towels, not me). This peach themed bathroom is the perfect option if you have a shared boy and girl bathroom.

I got so lucky because Walmart actually included a bunch of peach themed and color items in their spring collection this year. I went to my local Walmart and scooped up everything I thought was cute or that I could make work in our space. As you can see, we actually still have a lot of storage space in the linen closet so I think that will come in handy once Baby M makes her arrival and as we’re able to have guests again.

My favorite update to the bathroom, besides the hand towel rack next to the sink (don’t ask me why military housing always puts towel racks in the least convenient locations) is the framed polaroid photos of Jasper. He is obsessed with our FujiFilm Instax Mini camera and actually taught himself how to use it one day and we were left with these gems. This easy DIY was so simple to do and I think it adds so much personality to the space. I also love this matte black hardware that I picked up at Walmart. Adding your own hardware to a space, even to a closet door, is such a simple way to make a rental your own. All of the towels are in the colors Coral and Peach from the Opalhouse Line at Target.
